A few months ago when we drove from Bulgaria back to the UK we were fortunate enough to have met a producer named Audio Device who was born and raised and still located in the amazing city of Vienna, he was kind enough to have us as his guest for the afternoon as we were going to be driving right through Austria and Vienna was on our route.
This turned out to be a good move in so many ways, especially as we had chucked the last bit of our smoke at the Bulgarian border about 1000 miles back after a paranoid spell thinking we would get nicked by the Romanian border control, we knew we had to ditch it, but I told hazel we would live to regret that moment, once we had crossed the great Danube River on boat we was waved straight through the Romanian border control, typical hey!
While in Romania I decided to send out an email hoping to meet some of the people I talk to via the internet each day to see if we could hook up along our journey, we was well chuffed to get an invite from Audio Device, he was trying to get us there early for a gig with Spectrasoul but I didn't get the email until a bit later while in Hungary.
The funny thing was I was sure I knew Audio Device as one of the DJ's from Bassdrive.com, so you can imagine i was pretty embarrassed once we had finally met and I dropped that in conversation only to find out he was a completely different guy I had been talking to for the last couple of months, haha
Well, we couldn't hang around all day as we were on a mission to go find some land and get a tent up before dark, so we left Audio Device 's house with rather glazed eyes and an mp3 mix we had been given by him for our journey.
We kept listening to this mix and saying man, those first few tunes were so damn good but had never heard them before, I later found out that Audio Device is a man of surprises as he explained to me on aim (aol instant messenger) that those tunes were in fact his own productions.
Well, if you haven't been savvy enough to keep an ear to my latest Vibration Sessions shows you would have missed out on some SERIOUSLY good music from Audio Device, but have no fear as they will be coming out on our label "Vibration Records" later in the year.
Its funny how a meaningless email can turn into a good friendship, it never ceases to amaze me the power of the internet.
We have been been talking a fair bit since our return back to the UK and have been making some good plans, with that being said, it is a great pleasure to announce that Audio Device will now be representing Vibration Records each and every month on Play.FM live from the Play.fm studio at The Flex Club, Vienna. There's so much great music and art coming from Austria we are really chuffed to have Audio Device repesenting Vibration Records adding yet another string to our bow, Audio Device is a great addition to our team and broadcasting schedule we hope you will agree.
