Heres another wicked release that has just hit the shops. Think Deep Recordings a relatively new label and yet they are wasting no time cementing their stronghold on the melodic drum and bass scene.
Sorry to post this article after the release date, but I only just received the promo's myself, but it is well worth a late shout, just by looking at the track list you will know straight away this is a bag of goodies, although a lot of the artist's featured on this compilation album are new to the scene, Artist's like Derrick & Tonika, Smote, Undersound or Msdos have been around for a short time but are all dropping top notch produced music, in my mind some of the best music floating around at the moment.
This album to me is a serious contender for the best liquid album of the summer, so all I can say is "if better is yet to come, i hope to hell I get sent promo's :)"
Think Deep is a label based in Bristol UK and has been set up to push the ever growing, ever resounding sounds of liquid (or as we like to call it here melodic) drum & bass, The Selective Soul LP is ten tracks of liquid/melodic funk not to be missed, if your looking for those summer time beats, look no further you just found them.
Think Deep Recordings is run by label owner & producer Andy Sim who also drops two wicked tunes on this compilation, you may know of him from the infamous Internet radio bassdrive.com where they host a weekly radio show "Sydney Soul Radio" which If I'm honest I'm a bit confused about myself seeing as they hail from Bristol, if I get an update on what that is about I will post it here, but for now lets get on with the music and let the wonderful tunes do the talking.
