A: Jontey - Starbright

A debut artist on Midnight Sun, only 21 year old Jontey is the youngest artist to feature on the label so far. He got spotted when his tunes catched the ears of Physics on the local finnish forum. Not long after this his tunes started to feature in most of the local dj:s sets including Physics, Contour, Kaleb, L.A.O.S and Muffler. Starbright is a unique number we picked for his first release and its bound to cause some serious damage on dancefloors worldwide. Watch out for more from this wunderkid in the future!

B: Kaleb - To The Stars

It is no suprise that Kaleb who is a familiar face on Midnight Sun delivers with style, this time an epic stepper with some deep vocals and melodies to show you why Kaleb is gaining reputation on labels like Defunked, Blu Saphir and his own Prime Time Rec.

C: Marcas - You Know

Another debut artist on the label is Marcas from Belgium. He has gained the name nickname "soul machine" at the MSR headquarters after shooting over quality tunes on a regular basis. "You Know" is a soulful roller that goes in with that driving mid-range bass to roll it out properly on the floor. DJ support from the Hospital crew, Physics, Jerona Fruits and Nookie.

D: The Outfit - Changes

This deep roller sure gives you an idea why the EP is titled Midnight Rollers! A firm favorite with LTJ Bukem, "Changes" builds and delivers, drops with a deep sub bass spiced up with soulful house vocals and vibes that is typical for the producer that is The Outfit. Midnight Sun are proud to welcome them onboard!

Got a copy of this a week ago - FUCKING EXCELLENT....#

Starbirght is a great track, and "Changes", been cained by Bukem...

But it's all about Marcas' "You know"... surreal roller.. love it!

Was about bloody time @ Outfit's "Changes", it appeared first in early 2004, you don't have such piss-takes in other electronic music genres. :bailan: :smiley18:

Ah and talking of massively delayed releases, Greg Packer's "Organ tune" is out now on his own label Interphase, not the original version as featured on Progression Session 10 a few years ago but a slightly different one called "Organ revisited".

Note that Midnight Sun Recordings hasn´t been sitting on it, we picked it up after a hord of other labels dropped it, because we love it. Hope you can still enjoy it, at least our philosophy here at the HQ is "good music never grows old".

Peace

Its a wicked tune; and nice one for releasing Marcas' track - a very odd sounding, surreal take on vocal DnB.... I can't stop playing it... I'll be giving it much support

That's a great philosophy ;)

One thing I'd like to add is that the artist in question was very iffy with his dealings regarding said track, and he could have had it out sooner if he wasn't holding out for so long… Also there were only actually two labels who had said they might put it out but only one label actually signed it - that particular label being a label known for it's business & output Changes in recent times :smiley36:

Sounds good... interesting that this one has two tracks that sample house tunes. Both Roger Sanchez's 'You Can't Change Me' and Sandy Rivera's 'Changes'...
