i think its a real shame that anyone would stop using this forum because of an argument with me, Itstooloud isnt about me, its about supporting the drum and bass sound we love, theres 16 Record labels here doing monthly shows through ITL and its those guys who deserve the support, to not support ITL and those labels over me is sad. :stupid:

Totally agree with Tobes, but has he really left the ITL comunity? Will need to have a chat with him I think - doubt he'd bail because of a disagreement. There is a growing list of peeps who couldn't hack receiving criticism or having disagreements or whatever and I doubt he's the kind of guy to be associated with those peeps in that way - he's a bit too cool for school to flake...

Ant come back you complete slut!

I don't think you're being fair with this assessment at all Budwa - and what do you mean exactly by 'those peeps'? Do you really know what is going on with 'those peeps'?

For the record, I suspect you lump me in with 'those peeps' and this is why I feel I should speak up.

In all honesty I can tell you I have grown tired of forums, I tend only to get myself into trouble when I vent about things which isn't a good look for me or my label, and even though I get drawn into debates from time to time even today (namely addressing some hating on the new Vibe'z release which I thought was both wrong and unnecessary) I try my best to stay out of things. ITL was a place I used to get drawn into debates far too often, for the exact reasons Tobes says - we are all passionate about the music and often that passion gets out of hand. I've had disagreements with a lot of people on this board, but that does not mean I don't respect their opinions or their reasons for criticising me or what I've done or said, far from it, I applaud people to speak up rather than be a 'yes man' and let the world carry on regardless.

I guess what I'm saying is please don't make assumptions about people, disagreements pass and things people say don't necessarily reflect how they actually feel - they might reflect their reactions at that precise moment, but the internet retains instant thoughts and posts, it doesn't forget them like aural musings.

In addition, I'd like to big up Tobes for what he is doing with Vibration and Vibe'z, pushing the scene with releases and fronting events in London, one of the reasons I've been inspired to speak up here again was that thread in question on Cov Ops, and knowing how it would make me feel if I was at the centre of such trash talk (criticism is one thing, but being hurtful is quite another) which again is why I ended up throwing my weight in. I do that too often, and when ITL changed their login criteria it was easy for me to cut one forum out. So please do not think ill of me, and especially don't think ill of Soultec, who I'm sure will get over the argument in question. Time is a great healer. And after all, we don't really know anybody until we meet them, and I for one have met people I've seen on forums and thought 'oh I had no idea you were this nice' because internet argueing is NOT a true indication of personality. I have no doubt that if I met up with anybody here I've argued with, we'd get on like a house on fire. We all have more in common than we realise...

I think I've strayed somewhat from whatever point I was trying to make, but there you go!

Rant over...
Peace

this place misses soulTec, he's a funny guy...

it's just a shame that certain things were said that he reacted sensitivley to, we all do it from time to time, it just depends if he can work past that, hopefully he will.

No worries Haze. I hear what you're saying, and I certainly wasn't implicating you in what I wrote. Infact I didn't realise you had "cut" ITL out of the forums you post on! My comment was intended to be read in mirth, with a hint of sarcasm perhaps but certainly not thinking ill of anyone. Translation is far too easily lost on forums, it's true.

Peace
