It wasnt long ago, Beatport was ringing around all the underground labels, kissing ass to get some music on their site, and yes they did well, I have always taken my cap off to them.
But our music (Vibration Records) was dropped off the site just a few days ago, because we didnt sell 300 or more tracks in a month, now fair do's I can understand its a business, but to think it was underground music which enabled them to build a business in the first place, and now they dont want to support underground music.
I would like to think people will boycott them, if you can get the audio elsewhere, please do, they obviously think they can be as picky and choosy as Virgin Mega or HMV, but to think where they were only a few years ago, shame on beatport, selling out and not supporting the real underground scene.
