ez crew

So...anyone had any experience with this yet? Tobes....i know u had
problems with Final Scratch and got rid...did you replace at all with this
in the end?

Im seriously thinking of getting hold of this as i've heard got reports
overall with regards to stability etc....and i want to start mixing my
tunes without having to spend shed loads of cash on dubs lol

Anyone actually had a good mix using one?

my mate uses serrato and ive messed with it a few times. i think its a
great program, been contemplating getting it myself since i eventually
want to mix dual media. from my experience serrato is awesome, it can
hold out under some pretty intense scratching too hehe...

if your mixing out lots i would recomend CD mixers, ive realised that its a much more logical way to go, if your playing out in clubs, FS" or Serato will be a fooking pain in the ass to set up if your not around for a sound check :smiley2:

Damn Straight - And CD players dont crash, laptops getting boiling hot in a club do. I have seen it happen.

Check out the "Mad Vibez" set on DNBarena to see just how bad final scratch can make a set.

nice one guys.....at this stage im not really looking at getting it for use in clubs. like yourselves i have seen, on a couple of occassions, problems with this sort of thing in a club environment...the heat, moisture in the air etc etc

really its just for home use to bang out some mixes as...sadly....it is getting to a stage where most of the latest tracks i have in my collection are on mp3 or wav format as im sure many can associate with.

Im still leaning towards Serato tho purely due to price and also consistent good reports. The only difference i can see against Final Scratch is that Stantons version looks nicer....?!?!?!

maybe thats a little generalised...any other key differences i should be aware of?

the traktor software is a lot more complex man, serato's software looks pretty basic from what i can see, traktor you can have 4 decks, loads of effects, eq's etc

yeah...i have been doing some more reading about this this morning and i did neglect to remember about Naitive instruments involvement. Reflecting on that time i had a go on yours before u sent it back, i do remember the user interface being very easy to get up and mixing straight away.

nice one tobes.....more food for thought :smiley4:

We got both Scratch and Serrato at work....used both, and they're both accurate as long as you're running them on a decent pc/mac....

I'm no expert on using either....but i did a mix a while back using serrato, and had no probs whatsoever.....:smiley2:

yeah FS2 can now use Traktor 3, which was basically native instruments flagship digital mixing software, its loads better than Traktor 2 that comes with the unit.

sorry there tobes, well that was a hell of a sales pitch back there! http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley36.gif

my mate and i used to do sets together using regular vinyl and mp3s via
serrato and like i said no problems. the only prob was like someone
mentioned earlier, if your in a club you gotta go down early to set up coz
you cant really plug that box in during a mix.

my slogan: "you say serrato i say serrato"
