right, normally a CDR or DVDr will plug into your pc using IEDE drive connection, right, you can connect two devices to each EIDE drive, to do this you must set the devices up, one as a master one as a slave, becouse they both share the same cable, one must have priority over the other.

like if you had your hard drive and CD on the same IEDE drive, you would set the hard drive to master and the CD to slave, that way the CDr wont overide your hard drive, thats no good.

so normally we connect main hard drive as a master on EIDE 1, now if you have a second hard drive or CD player connect that to EIDE 1 and make that a slave.

ok, now you should have another EIDE cable that can take two more connections, set your CDr as master, connect it to the EIDE cable, plug the power in, and if you followed my instructions you now have a CDr installed http://www.itstooloud.com/drum.and.bass/forum/smileys/2thumbs.gif

Nice1 that does sound simple enough, it'll only be temp anyway as Im not interested in dvd's only using them for backing up at the moment but it'll come in handy 1 day
