how do u make lyrics high pitch like kanye west?

Pitch them up.... you mean like he did with the Chaka Kaan vocal on one of his recent tracks....





It really is simple, and i think that's purposely the effect he's gone for judging by some comments i read by him somewhere....rather than trying to get a 'normal' souding vocal playing at the speed of his track by going down the usual timestretching route.


I don't think he did it with a turntable, but you'd get exactly the same results by just pitching the vocal of a much slower track/vocal up to the tempo of your own track.


The reason why it works well for his tune is the original vocal is much slower than his own tune, so you get that Chaka on helium type sound....





Hope this explains.... there's probsa bit more to it, some autotune probably involved somewhere to tidy it all up (but i bet there wasn't on his original demo version....)
