yeah man near field monitors are supposed to be like this, you will get used to the sound, but what you should always do is play your sounds on different sond systems for reference, also listen hard to other tunes that your into listen to how they have mixed down there tunes compare to yours.
if you want you could buy a sub :smiley4:enjoy your new speakers matey

Yeah Tobes is right, what you're actually hearing through your monitorsis the 'real sound' (or near enough).....
When you here dnb on a big system in a club for example ,the bass is given almighty boosts usually by a sub, and hi-fi speakers don't tend to have a flat EQ response either (they're usually set toenhance the sound, along with the EQ settings on your HI-FI).
The idea being with monitors is, if you can get something to sound right through them then your tunes should sound (about) right on any system.
Make sure you have them positioned in your room correctly also, you'll probs find the sound changes as you walk round the room (trust what it sounds like when you're directly in-front of the speakers only), and keep the tweeters at about eye level also......
Oh yeah, keep them out of corners also, either have them flat to the wall, or if you want them angled inwards you're best having them freestanding away from any walls or other surroundings.
When comparing your tunes to other tunes, just make sure the 'real' tune you're playing is being played with flat EQ also....otherwise you'll always be trying to compare your mixdowns to an enhanced sound....
Hope this makes sense....
