i got:
zinc - flim (calibre rmx)
amit - village folk/lost voices
breakage/alias - plum fairy/admit to love
i sat at my computer checking for the calibre ''flim'' rmx on all the online shops yesterdaybut i didnt manage to get a copy because of this 1 promo per shop thing to stop ppl selling copies on ebay, guess what i went onto ebay and theres 5 copies on there. so i was gutted to say the least. then today while postering for my next urizen night i went into a new record shop that has opened and he was trying to sell us the new prototype ''odysessy'' and that kind of thing. so i said for a you havent got that flim calibre rmx have you and he did. ya f**kin dancer:smiley4:was gonna get that future sounds of cambridge e.p but i'm only really feeling the commix ''roots train'' tune and logistics ''together'' so i'll just wait for the full release on that one. usually good art work with hospital e.ps.Edited by: jnr_bryson

Yeah i know mate..... in 15/16 years of dj'ing i think i've only ever recorded about 5 sets...... Shameful really !!!!!
I just hate doing them....
Think Oracle probs still has some of my sets on CD if you wanna give them a listen (quite old tho now, but some good tunes!)
I am planning on doing a few tho soon, altho could be a while with not having a PC at the mo..... My missus has stolen my soundcard also yesterday to record her sets, so it's not looking good for me....http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley19.gif
As for the new tunes, didn't realise that Breakage/Alias thing was out....Hhhhhmmm. Isn't 'Alias aka Flight ?
Also the FSOC compilation, agreed Commix - Roots train is the best on there (even if it is a bit like MISTICAL DUB Pt 2, or is it just me being picky?). 'Together' by Logisticsis also good, but i don't rate it as good as his tune on the WOMC compilation. Love the break on that thing
The others are just average IMO....Nu tone's stuff is all sounding a bit same'y lately....good tunes, but old news if u know what i mean.
Really like the Mathematics track on their new label.... just a simple Amen roller, but it's got a real rolling vibe about it..... Nnnnnniiiccceeeee !

yeah foki alias is flight & breakage. i just ordered the future sound of cambridge e.p. i think roots train, millies theme andtogether are wicked but i aint really feelin the commix track wurlie tune. just a bit too boring for me. i know what your saying about nu:tone and i totally agree. all the same kinda stucture and sounds in his tunes but hopefully that will change. i still really like millies theme but i think it sounds pretty much the same as breathless, lovely sounds though.

Yeah totally agree... think i've snapped up every nu-tone release going cos they're all quality, but you're right about him using the same sounds, and structure.... Probs needs to sit back and take a break and try a different approcah to how he's making his tunes.
His old stuff was really good, and quite different also..... He had some bits out on one of John B'slabels that were really jazzy (and i've heard some other stuff that i don't think ever got released)...Obviously all the jazz riffs were ripped from sample CD's but it did show adifferent side to him.
I also quite like that remix he did forIkon(Via E Vem....) On first listens i thought it was a bit dull, but it's grown on me recently.
Shouldn't complain really cos he's still way above a lot of the other producers out there......
