dont waste yur money on them mate, you have no automation control over them, so all they do is give you 3 gig of some nice sounds and thats about it, ive got all and use none of em , sorry man

i use the trilogy and atmosphere alot but as tobes says you have no automation control. the atmoshere has alot really nice pads and strings and the trilogy has some good bass. all i can say about them really.
The automation is handled by midi controllers instead of plugin automation, it's not quite the same but you can autmoate everything.

ez jcat,
dont stop there you fairy, tell us the rest then :smiley4:
You just use them the same as you would with your E6400, but they are all presets to specific controller numbers. I'm not at the studio at the mo, so I don't know what number does what, but when I find out I'll post it here.
Funilly enough I posted this a couple of months ago...
http://www.itstooloud.com/webwiz/forum_posts.asp?TID=76& (http://www.itstooloud.com/webwiz/forum_posts.asp?TID=76&PN=1) PN=1

How's it going Tobes? You moving any time soon?

Yes you can automate Spectrasonics stuff! i been using them for almost 2 years now, so no disrepcet to the guy that said u cant but seriously you obviously dont know what your talking about.
In the manuals look for the Midi cc chart, all the controller numbers are listed there. if using Cubase goto in2 your midi editor, default should be volicity, open the selector and goto setup at the bottom of the list, now u can see the controller Menu Setup, in the Hidden column select the controller number you want then send it to the In Menu by clicking on the <<< symbols then OK it,now draw your events, JoB DoNe ;) usually to automate plugins within Cubase you u use the Read n Write method but unfortuantely Spectrasonics do not work in this way hense having to do this. NOTE Trilogy, Stylus and Atmosphere do not all use the same Midicc numbers........

Atmosphere - I dont really rate this synth much at all as its sample based and because of this alot of the sounds cannot really be used unless u dont mind being forced to make your music around the programmers sound, which personally i aint in2 and i like to be able to create my own sounds rather then make music around somebody else's sound, it does have some quite nice strings though and a few other bits... a ver Dark n Moody synth, if u like dark music then u might like this synth - In my opinion no way is this worth the money its costs - but then i dont know 1 person who buys software anyways ;)
Trilogy - As far as bass Modules go i do like it, good variety of basses and some nice Double basses, Squares etc....
Stylus - Dont really rate it that much and in the 2 years or so i have had it i have only ever used it in about 2 tracks :/Decent breaks make Stylus sound stupid... Not worth the money, bnut all good when free ;)

atmosphere and trilogy have been updated now andyou know havemore control over the shape.
i've been making really dubby stuff and i cant find anything that does reggae deep bass better than trilogy. still using it to death.

Trilogy gives off a nice sound, it can be automated and the LFO sync on the update is good.
Atmosphere is really good, nice sounds.
Stylus RMX is amazing also, really good sounds, crisp also clever layout and nice effects.
all worth checking out!
