damn it guys,


ive just formatted my pc and everything to try and sort this scsi problem, the sampler is set to scsi id 6 and it is terminated, the zip drive is set to scsi id 5 and is not terminated, i assume the internal pc card is by defualt set to id 7 , so what is going on http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley19.gifif its the cable that will be a pisser now having formated the c drive.


anyone got any ideas, ive checked the aspi driver that is instaled http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley5.gifwell pissed off as i want to get on with the comp, going to have to start without my sampler http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley6.gifpain in the ass....................................

Erm.....dunno mate, have ya tried a new cable? Cos if ya justre-installed windowsi would have thought it would reset the internal cards ID's????Edited by: Kenny Dee

bought a new cable and still no fooking joy, do you change the scsi id numbers on the card with jumpers kenny?

yeah...the jumper settings should be either written on the drive somewhere or in the manual that they come with :smiley2:


Are you running an array or a chain?

If you give more details about your chain and gear I may be
able to help Is the zip internal or external? Where is it in the
chain? Can you boot with it disconnencted?.....I ditched my E-
Synth a year ago now but boy do I remember the scsi hassles
both on PC and Mac......I've gone soft now with a couple of
outboard synths . Don't assume anything....check and recheck
your ids....change them and check again. Try different boot
orders.

thanks for the offer but i sorted it, in the end i figured out the scsi card was bust, since i installed the new one ive lost loads of little bugs i had before, well chuffed.
