I've managed to get Reason onto my machine, and I've got the soundbank
files loaded on, but reason asks me for the CD (soundbank) the first
time it boots up as a security measure.... I ummm..... lost..... my CD,
any one got any ideas how I can skirt round it? IM me off board
if needs be.... so frustrating having my new toy and not being able to
use it!

well....what u do, u copy your Reason Factory Soundbank Refill & your Orkester Soundbank Refill into the same directory that your Reason program boots from, this should clear up any prompts to insert cds.

use the Alcohol 120% program make and image of both soundbanks, then create 2 virtual drives 1 for sondbank and 1 for orkester. it will work just fine(I did mine like that so I'm possitive) :smiley2:

Or, you could just download some kind of crack, if you're really desperate. I think i did that once =)

I've been using Reson for about 3 years now and have installed it God knows how many times, its normal that its asks for the Factory sound bank and Orkersta disc's to be reinserted after installation and when going from Reason 2 - 2.5 you basically copy the soundbank folder in2 the Reason directory but it WILL still ask you to reinsert the disc's after installtion... On occasions it does not always recognise the disc's 1st time after installion, for example 1 time i had to reinsert the disc's about 20 times before they were recognised.

It will also reask for ur cd if u change any of the hardware in ur machine, like new memory and so on
