ok cos im recomending pure studio quality it aint cheap http://www.sydec.be/Products/i have the mixtreme but you will also need an i-box 8 line for every 8 analogue inputs you need, i have a digital desk and dont need the i-box.
but lets talk about latency, er what latency, ok lets talk about clicks and pops,, err what clicks and pops,, ok lets talk about sound quality,,,yeah plenty to talk about, sh*t hot quality mate, trust me.
but your looking at £500-£600 the prices are in euros mate.
good luck with your purchase whatever you go for, my mixtreme is 5 years old and still works beautifully mate, what better recomendation could you want.:smiley2:

hehe, contradictions or what. but if I start at £600 for a card, Im not gonna get very far with the rest, all i have is the case, some drives, and few extras, so Im basically at the start of the project. Course I want the best card, and I will eventually bro, but yeah, ebay is a must.

infact the fact is mate, that sound card has been around for time, theyve upped the power a tiny bit, but its one of those things, just like the porsche never really needed redesigning.
i reckon its a hot card mate, sound quality is tops, and its stable as you can get.

i have an m-audio audiophile 2496 it's the only one i've ever had
dealings with so i can't compare but it cost $450 nz (150 squid approx)
so it's worth a look man
i have no complaints :smiley17: i have a link to a review and whoever did it praises this card
ok found it LINK</font> (http://www.digit-life.com/articles/maudioaudiophile/)

it looks ok for sure man, i hear good things about them, but for me the disadvantage is the inputs, only two ins and two outs, i like to know that if i need to recorda band i have the capability's, i definately really rate the one i have, 16ins and 16outs proper soundcard bussiness, no clics or pops, but its a lot more than 150 squids http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley19.gif.
