hey guys we got to do something about all these people that join and dont contribute, not even to say hello.

i was just looking at the memberlist and the amount of people who have never posted is unreal.

tumbles your right in saying delete all the ones which never posted, but then we would be back to 50 members http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley19.gifEdited by: Tobes

Give them a two month grace period, anymemeber not posting for two months or 60 days, shuold be deleted, send everyone a message/or e mail and then they know they have to register, it must be eating bandwidth or space them being reg'd but not posting, why are they reg'ing if they aint posting? to listen to the FTP?

parasites dump em I'd rather have 60 people who contribute prehaps in future couldnt you inform them on registration that they must contribute from time 2 time or face deletion, fair enuff not every1 spends all day on a pc but come on people be part of the community

im guessing people are just joining to use the ftp what you gotta do is set somthing like people have to have atleast 5 posts to use ftp or something and if they dont post somthing within 48 hours of reg their account is deleted http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley36.gif

morning gang, nah i think people register to get samples, check out the mix forum, and then if they got the brains use the ftp, but i think thats used mainly by our good members.

i need to get this forum updated to the new version and there might be an option to send a message to every new member asking them to contribute to the forums.

?hhhhhmmmm oh wll lifesa beach....

morning gang

just my bit, Im thinking they are all coming for the 10 acapellas that are posted in the samplezone, coz they have to register to gain entry, wouldn't it be better if the samplezone was unlocked as its mainly used by my members and as im changing the site, one thing im doing is simple registration form that gives unlock code ofr samples, no member login, maybe if all those leechers didnt have to register first to get the pellas, the ones who are genuine,( and there is a few, people arent getting involved enough, but the ones who do are the ones whoadd some good stuff), solet them leech off my server, i dont care, butunlock the samplezone and the ones who want to contribute, will, and the ones who leech will leech and beon there way!!

Bigup the ITL crew for the good vibes. Gradually building up, Tobes man, you need to start more site promotion if you want more contribution, use all the site submission software and tools, get some links with dnb/music sites , upgrade the forum, its looking a bit dated. Its a bit of work but pays in the end, more people need to know what a sweet place this is, you know if you need any help Im here.

(probably the longest post Ive ever written, I aint got nothin' on the lokester!)

i think you could be right there mate, i mean weve had nearly 1000 unique hits this month, ive had roughly 20% from your site, do us a favor and see how many hits your getting from me.

but i agree they must be all registering for either your samples or jeryls mix section, cos like you say if they were registering to input to the group it would be noticed.

ok im just sitting back having a think, i should be getting off my ass and updating the site http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley9.gif

cool tobes, its not a problem that cant be fixed, a new look, a bit a promotion, and well be away. My site is looking hot you know, steeped up 2 gears, and Im in touch with lots a people to get it promoted more, so more hits=more people. Icant check my full site stats though, im using a counter and you have to pay for full stats, I watch it regularly for recent referrers, most come from google, yahoo, other search engines, i get good listings, and a good source for me come from HQSamples, (i must say thanks to the guy), you should write an email requseting links from sites, and mass-mail them to bare music sites, theres software to scan specific keyword email addresses from the web, use that, and you should have quite more inprovement once the links go up.
