hi guys,


please note that i have changed some ftp file options, this will now allow for file streaming. http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/yippie.gif


please remeber that if you hot link your streams to other sites that it uses my monthly bandwidth, when we reach the monthly quota it will shut the site till the next months quota starts, so we have to be a bit carefull with hot linking 50meg streams all over the net.


it will help if when you stream any audio to save it to disk once its downloadedand not restream the same files.


to put it in perspective i have already used 7gig of my 10gig monthly bandwidth, to upgrade costs loads more money http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley19.gifand i reckon allowing streaming from the ftp will cain the bandwidth.

heres how you can stream audio from the ftp


you will need to keep your file names short and simple, create your folder in the ftp, keep it named short and simple, and leave your files inside your folder, then to link people toyour files to stream, just write the url in your posts.


heres an example:


www.itstooloud.com/stream/yourfolder/youraudio.wma (http://www.itstooloud.com/stream/yourfolder/youraudio.wma)

another tip: if you save your files as .WMA files (windows media audio) they will stream and download simultaniously, this is the fastest way todownload and listen at once.
