when taking samples from records or even recording a mix into my comp, I always getthat soundwhere you hear the vinly being played...does anyone know of a program that helps eliminate this? or a better program to use when recording? Also I am looking for a program with good hi pass and low pass filters built in so I can edit my wavs... any suggestions?

yeah mate - you want to take a look at something like Soundforge 6 or 7 - great wav. editing facilities come bundled including what you are after

saying that....theres a number of really decent sample editing programs these days - take a look at the following site and have a search around their review section for info:

steinberg clean or vinyl restoration are the two progs you want to try and get, eq'ing will help a little but but i think steinberg clean is the best program for that, youve got the click and crackle remover in soundforge but it isnt the best plugin in the world.

check out stienberg clean http://www.pinnaclesys.com/ProductPage_n.asp?Product_ID=1477 (http://www.pinnaclesys.com/ProductPage_n.asp?Product_ID=1477&Langue_ID=2) &Langue_ID=2
