I know nuff people that run WIndows 2003 server on their PC's that they just use for Net browsing, no special config or anything cant imagine that XP server would be anydifferent, but its ur box mate.....

.......sh*t wish I hadn't said anything now in case it all goes horribly wrong and you blame me!!http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley5.gif

Should be better than XP for stability, and it has less in the way if unnecessary services running in the background (no bloody messenger service running the whole time for example).

But as for security, there is no difference between XP and 2003, they have the same permission sets (as long as you use NTFS), although it may be true to say that the "out of the box" 2003 set-up may be more conservative than XP's.

The resource scheduling is slightly different in 2003 as well, generally speaking it's more optimised for background tasks etc.

Just Ghost or Drive Image you current system in case it all goes tits up, and just give 2003 a go...
