I know sounds like a gay as f**k excersise you'd do in drama class at school but it'd be nice to get to know some of the names a little better so I'll start us off.

Real Name: Jeryl Wilton

Age: 22

What interests me about DnB: Always loved music and DnB just seems to touch me in places other tunes cant reach, been DJing for about 5 years and even before that was doing mad sh*t with home stereos to create 'sort of' mixes

Projects currently working on: Looking for DJ work proffessionally have a few residencies at mates nights but nothing more concrete, setting up an Internet TV station to help encourage growth within the dance scene by pushing new DJs & Producers alongside established names (with a strict 'no pecking order' policy, egos need not apply). Also looking to start producing 'properly' as soon as poss, just given up working 2 jobs and cut down the hours to a 3 day week so I can concentrate on getting my sh*t together lol

Last Words: Anyone who wants to help me out or needs my help with something please get in touch cos it's all about helping each other (I know I sound like a damn hippy)

No sounds good mate...

Pete Martin - 25

DJing 7 years

Got into dnb 'cos I really like girls with no bras jumping up and down. Better than porn as more natural.

Trying to get my head in a space where I can really get my teeth into producing...nearly there...

Gone off DJing recently for a number of reasons, but mainly due to the fact...

"DNB'S NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE"

Only joking...there's still great stuff around...

27, Welsh, Slightly confused by just about everything!

Wouldn't want to offend anyone by describing what I used to do to records as DJ'ing! But been into the party scene since I was well young...in fact now I come to think of it over a decade - stumbled onto a traveller "rave" with my mates when I was about 13/14 and have been drawn like a moth to a candle flame by the whole scene ever since.

Primarily I like hardcore in most of its incarnations (usually the harder and nastioer and darker the better)though from what Ive heard of it recently I'm feeling that it sounds a bit TOO much like Hard house. And its been a long time since I went to a Hardcoreparty http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley19.gif

But I was well into the first Logical, even had a go of mixing it ...along with the first two metal headz Albums, and the Breakbeat science. I have refined my musical ear now to fully appreciate the GLO stuff, and various other DnB ...Full Cycle, Ascendant Grooves etc etc...blah ...blah

But the big bumble beein my bonnet is visuals...I love doigital art, animations, web and flyer design (web ... when I get my arse in gear!) and the wierd and wonderful stuff you can do with photoshop1 Once I got my studio am looking forward to the day when I get my hands on some VJ'ing software like Oozic. I'll try my hand at some music production once I've finished tweaking my Visual system...or I might be lying to justify my presence on such a knowledgeable site! Im also involved a few others acting as Missionaries bringing intelligent DnB to the Deep Wild SouthWest (Civilisation seems to stop just south of Bristol!)

I also like braless girls jumping around in front of me, this is what first enticed me back to the DnB nights here in Plymouth....there is an awful lot of them to jump around http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley18.gif :smiley2:

I like crumpets, blowjobs, waking up to findany bird sat on my cock...please God if your out there make her nice tomorrow....full english breakfasts especially with crumpet for after http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley14.gif

And Im an emoticon fetishist with a terminal case of stenographic diahorrhea!!!!

Still reading .....I'd have given up by now...http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley8.gifEdited by: Loki

good thread chaps...ok, here goes

Real Name: Adam Squires

Age: 27 (i know....no need to tell me how close i am to 30!)

Djing: 5 years

Producing: 2 years + .....well, it took me the 1st year to get to grips with it all and im just at a stage where things are coming together, hopefully soon I'll get something finished.

What interests me about D&B: It was the infectious beats that got me hooked originally. i've listened to all sorts of music in the past but when i tripped over some early GLO stuff i was astounded and never looked back. I still listen to many genres and come from a musical family....the old man had been a jazz musician (double bass/bass guitar) since he was 18 so it kinda runs through the veins some what...plus over the years i've studied various instruments and gone through the whole grading and music theory thing. Once i discovered about the whole production tip it seemed kinda natural to crack on with it.

Its all about melody for me though and tunes where you can actually hear the creativity....the hard dancefloor stuff is ok but i find myself getting bored after half an hour of dancefloor smashers....probably cus i dont touch the Class A's no more!

Over the last year i've had a few opportunities to play out in Notts with a few mates...we tried to get a night off the ground firstly at The Lost Weekend and then Bluenote when that first opened but due to pitiful promotion and lack of planning on the organisers part it just didnt go anywhere. It was good fun though and thats whats its all about at the end of the day.

So..Current Projects: Mainlyproduction in my spare time....thats my one and only goal music wise at the moment....to get some tunes done andget at least 1 release before im past it and no longer in touch.....haha

So yeah...anyof you guys need any help on the production side of things then give us a shout...i know Tobes is also a wealth of knowledge so this site isa good place to be innit.

So..does this make me the eldest or what??!! :smiley3:

Real Name: Ben Arnold

Age: 25

Djing: 1 year nearly

Producing: 1 year ish

To be honest both are on a purely muck about level at the moment. Although who knows what the future holds for all of us.

To be honest I have to thank Peter for my induction into D&B. It was at university back in…..1996. Wow when you see it written down you realise how long ago that really was.

Back then I was into all things jazzy, and the sounds that GLO were producing just seemed to be the only way for the future of music to go. The hook of the beats and those beautiful synths just took me away to another place. Ever since I have been loving the sence.

I have to agree with Oracle not so keen on the banging dance floor tunes I like to have some kind of musical thread to a tune.

In a previous life or at least while I was still at school, I played the trumpet got through the grades but I kind of lost touch with it through the uni years, and have never really had the time or should I really say the motivation to get back to serious practice. Much to Pete’s annoyance. Sorry mate one day I promise.

At the moment I am just trying to perfect my DJ skills while playing around with making some tunes on the side. I have posted my first attempt at a tune and my first go at recording a mix on the ftp site under the Jamin directory. All feedback welcome. But please be kind. :smiley2:

ok here goes, i hope you guys are really bored cos this will be a long one, more like an autobiography ive got a pizza and a beer so it should keep me going:smiley1:

ok well when i was a youngster from te age of 12 i lived in London, went to a crazy school in Pimlico, called pimlico school of music, never actually did any music there but that was the name, it was a state school and most the peeps there came overthe bridge from places like Stokwell, Vauxhall, Brixton, Oval, so you can imaging, proper charecters there, this is where i discovered hip hop, maybe even slightly earlier, but i suppose the scene was kinda influential, NWA & Public Enemy where the crew, then obviously there was silver bullet, and others i cant even remember, remember this cos i will bring it up again later, any way it was the days when we started to lose the plott, robbing, vandalysm, even smoking dope, seriously, i smoked my first joint at the age of 11 (nicked it from my dad!) so my parentsw realised me and my brother were turning into tearaways at a young age, and being lucky they were in the position to decide to get us out of the street, and moved us to France, we moved to some pu**y boy litle village, and to be honest it started to bring us back down to earth, it doesnt mean we stopped doing crazy sh*t cos we didnt, f**ked around with , dealing, guns, gypsies, it was fun, infact we got a really bad name being english, but anyway, my education was so f**ked i ended up finishing school at 14, ok i hadnt yet dabled in dealing and guns and sh*t but it wasnt long after, im not sure why but we got into heavy drugs at a really young age, by the time i was 15 i had already done e's, coke, speed, mescaline, acid and dope. i know pretty f**ked up, but that was the way it was, so anyway, believe me sh*t was crazy, my best friend in france is a gypsie, hes cool as f**k, if he knew how to use a pc he would surely say hello, but thats a bit too advanced for him, lol, any way, believe it or not my life got a bit too crazy in france and at the age of 18 i decided to move back to the UK, this is the second transition period, but this time for the good, i had seen a lot of crazy sh*t, a lot of friends in big trouble, a lot of my friends were much older than me, some by 20 years,so i sold my motorbike and moved back, it was the second biggest shock of my life after the first time i moved country, but this time i had sh*t loads to think about, what i wanted out of life, who i waned to be, and from looking at my friends i realised i didnt want to be like them, drug dealing wasnt the way forward, neither was being cool and being noticed, nor causing trouble, so i decided to follow my second love of life which is MUSIC, so with the money from my motor bike i bought a pair of soundlab (sh*tty crappy decks) and that was the beggining of a new era, this is when i transformed from a crazy mother f**ker to a peace and unity music lover, i think from all the drugs i have done it turned me very internal, which was a good thing in i have a better understanding about life, but maybe stopped me from dj'ing out being reeally paranoid, so one thing led to the next, still taking loads of drugs and dj'ong loads at partys and sh*t thye next step was surely producing, all i knew was there were two paths for me, drug dealing or music, and music is what i chose (im proud of that), some thing i should have mentioned earlier is coming from London we were very upto date with the music scene thanks to pirate radio and had followed the whole rave era, even though the french still couldnt get there heads around abba, but anyway, music producing was what i wanted to get into, i was living in camden town at the timeand i got a pc, now i will admit, i couldnt get into my pc for years even though i wanted to make music, i kept on breaking it and generally it took me sometime to get into it, so now living in High Wycombe, the place i was born i decided a city and guilds in audio engineering was on the cards, now at the time i was proper dark d'n'b head, gone through the metalheadz era and was coming out of it i suppose, just starting to get into the GLO stuff, anyway i met a guy who is now a very good friend of mine called Gerald, at the time he told me that he knew a lot of guys from GLO and i though yeah yeah, here we go another bulsh*ter, but he always said any time that i want to go to a GLO gig that i would be on the guest list, so one day i decided to take him up on the offer and found out that not only was he wll in with GLO that MC conrad is his best mate, so started a new era, i have to say im a lucky f**ker, when im into something i always seem to meet the right guys, and once again i did, through gerald i met a lot of guys from GLO which took me to a new level with the d'n'b scene,, so since then i started a diploma in audio engineering at the schol of audio enginnering SAE in London, never actually finished it cos i decided the money we were spending there i could spend on studio equiptment, which i did,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, to be continued,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, hehehehe
