I can get streaming hosted with a fat wedge of concurrent users cheap?


Been checking out the prices some of these people charge and we lookin at $20,000 a MONTH! Sod that I say, so any ideas anyone?


I got a free one with 400 concurrent users but I will want more when that's used up. Any help will be appreciated :smiley4:

www.catalyst2.com (http://www.catalyst2.com) but be assured what you want to do is not cheap, streaming audio and video will use loads of bandwidth and cost quite a bit.:smiley2:

it depends what sort of streaming you are after, if you wanted something like a shoutcast server they cant do it, i imagine thats how the video thing would work, in the same way, to do what you want to do you might need your own dedicated server, i spoke to some people braodcasting radio via winamp with a shoutcast server they said its around $200-$400 a month.


now you know why i dont broadcast that way, unless you have your own server.


to be honest the only way to do it that i know which is economical is through yours or a mates server.

Yeah I'm lucky I got a 400 jobby for nothin I spose. I'm probably just gonna have to expand as & when. Was thinking of adding servers to the streams as i go along y'know? Will prob get my own when my mates is at capacity for our streams. http://www.itstooloud.com/smileys/smiley16.gif
