there is a new net-label called fish recordings:

fish recordings is another one of those unknown, not really needed and
superficial attempts to gain acceptance within an underground
music-scene which are usually called "label".
it is based right in the middle of nowhere (and if you are honest you do
not really want to know!). dj zoidberg and mc moby dick, the two
dilettantes behind this fun project will do a lot to get some attention:
they take some stupid beats, a bit of unfunny artwork and too much silly
promo texts and release it for free (due to the fact that nobody will
buy this crap!)
music should be a fun thing and bring people together to have a good
time. so, dont get fat-assed sitting at your computer, having no friends
and life and being broke all the time like the idiots running this right
here and take the stuff and show it to everybody!



here it is, the first release on fish recordings:

you have to face the truth: dnb is dead, the hype is over and nobody is
selling any records nowadays. young girls are interested in tech-house
and minimal affairs now and so guys follow: parties are empty, labels
have to be shut down and radiostations loose the last listeners.
what is the reason behind this developments?
girls do not want to take part in a scene of bloodthirsty, braineating
and brutal zombies misbehaving on dancefloors and showing how hard they
are by cutting off the arms of others to wave them around. and thats the
main point in most of the tunes at the moment: they are grimey, dark and
bloody all the way...
the artists behind this tune tried to do something different back then.
but this track does not represent the style of them anymore, so they are
back in producing grimey, dark and bloody stuff again for a bunch of
people liking to be bloodthirsty, braineating and brutal who want to
misbehave on dancefloors and show how hard they are by cutting off the
arms of others to wave them around!

schnitzelstep is a weird bastard music consisting of crazyness, going
insane and having lots of fun. it is all about schnitzel with pommes and
partying, dancing and freaking out. so it is the perfect music to solve
all problems in the world. obama and the pope and all the boring and
stupid politicians should dance the schnitzelstep.
the innovators of schnitzelstep are two crazy austrians called mefjus
and nzian (it is obvious that austria is the craziest country in the

well, as mentioned in the info-blabla of fish recordings dj zoidberg and
mc moby dick, the guys behind this label are two shiny dilettantes and
so they even manage to release a tune which is not really a tune. some
would call it a tool, most of the people would call it some boring track
in which nothing happens and others would even say this is some
unfinished bullshit not even worth listen. but anyways, it is for free
and you should give it a try that would be no error (lousy wordplay lol)!
btw: try and error are from a small town in hessen, germany. and that is
some real punishment itself, so download the track, spread the word and
make them famous so that they are able to leave this embarassing
department of germany and find some good place to live, start a family
with prosperous kids and say goodbye to drum n bass like everyone else
is doing at the moment.

here is the first two track release on fish recordings:

brandon miles and tricky pat both are from two mega-cities: one from
portland, maine and one from burlington, vermont. if you look at the
stats you will see that the combined population of these two
metropolises is about 100,000 people. truly amazing!
here are some more interesting facts:
the most famous son of portland, maine is none other than stephen king,
the world-famous author of horror fiction. the most famous son of
burlington, vermont is ted bundy alias the campus killer, world famous
serial killer (who raped and killed a lot of women in the seventies)!
really surprising!
despite these factors brandon miles and tricky pat managed to become two
funny and eclectic country boys bringing crazy tracks to the real big
cities of the world. but to be honest we do not really know what they
also do in their free-time when music is done...

imagine a concert at the metropolitan opera, new york, in the year 2013.
a full orchestra plus lang lang (world famous chinese piano player),
david garrett (world famous german-american violin player) and dragomir
taskov (world famous bulgarian violoncello player) give a long awaited
concert...
well, that will not take place, but if dragomir taskov would have
sticked to his classical education with the piano and the violoncello it
would have could. but his mind was nebulized by drum and bass and
other electronic music and so the world lost a potential brilliant
classical musician. that is great for drum and bass though, hehe,
because dragomir taskov is now known to most of the people by his artist
name "digital soul". so, classic music lacks a big talent, but dnb-world
got a superb producer to be proud of. in this case, dnb owns
classic-music: "GOTCHA!"

anniversary time! release number 10 is in the pipeline and will bring
you the very special goldfish ep but before that we give you a little
appetizer, the silverfish ep.
this ep contains only one tune because it is only an appetizer and the
silverfish is a very weak and ugly animal with a strange ritual of
reproduction in three phases:
in the first phase, the male and female stand face to face, their
trembling antennae touching, then repeatedly back off and return to this
position. in the second phase the male runs away and the female chases
him. in the third phase the male and female stand side by side and
head-to-tail, with the male vibrating his tail against the female.
finally the male lays a sperm capsule covered in gossamer, which the
female takes into her body via her ovipositor to fertilize the eggs she
will lay later on. pretty bizarre!!!
but inuits (the native people in arctic regions of canada, greenland,
and alaska) have some interesting rituals as well. if two male inuits
fight over the same girl for example, they put up a duell in a special
built igloo. they alternately beat each other on the temple with their
bare hands and the first to pass out loses.
in that context it is even more interesting that an inuit will offer you
the services of his wife when you visit him as a sign of hospitality.
well, together with kaiza featuring try and error we offer you this
track called "inuit" as an appetizer for the goldfish ep (as mentioned

anniversary time! fish recordings brings you the goldfish ep:

as promised with the last release (silverfish ep) we celebrate the tenth
release on fish recordings with this special ep named after a certain
species: the goldfish. we chose the goldfish because it is of golden
colour (of course fitting well for an anniversary release) and because the goldfish
is of the same family as koi are (the carp family). well, koi are seen as the most
precious fishes on planet earth, so this is a perfect fit again.
goldfish are amazing animals: scientists proved that goldfish could be
trained to recognize and to react to light signals of different colors.
thus, they have a memory-span of at least three months and can
distinguish between different shapes, colours and sounds. their strong
visual acuity allows them to distinguish between different humans.
goldfish is the fish-species most commonly kept in aquariums (none other
fish-species is kept in aquariums that much). the classic goldfish bowl
is banned in most countries because it is to harmful for goldfish to
live in these without a water pump or a water filter.
the true lifespan of a well-cared-for goldfish in captivity can extend
beyond 10 years. and maybe fish recordings can extend that long either,
but before going that far into the future, check out the four tracks of

a way to egypt.

three continents (europe, asia and africa) and you will have lots of
good times with some of the social, political and cultural

folks we managed to reach release number thirteen, the unlucky thirteen,
as we say in germany and probably in your country, too. that may be
differ from country to country.
but if we look at some sportsmen we will see that the connection between
number "13" and bad luck is doubtful:
first, basketball-player wilt "the stilt" chamberlain wore the number
thirteen throughout his whole career and he is the holder of 72 (!!!)
official nba records. amazing, isn't it?

this track comes in the piano version, so it has something to do with an
piano. maybe you will hear some vocal bits by richard clayderman or ray
charles. or may be this is a collab track with lang lang (one of the
most famous piano players of our time). it could also be the first drum
and bass ballad ever featuring barry manilow or some jazz stuff with
duke ellington or even some classical music with ludwig van beethoven or
frederic chopin. maybe it is a dnb musical together with george gershwin
or some crazy free jazz with herbie hancock or something completely new:
drum and bass rock'n'roll with jerry lee lewis.

STEREOTYPE - "ALGORYTHM" [fishrecordings / FISH016]

while there is no generally accepted formal definition of "algorythm",
an informal definition could be "a process that performs some sequence
of operations." for some people, a program is only an algorythm if it
stops eventually. for others, a program is only an algorythm if it stops
before a given number of calculation steps.
a prototypical example of an "algorythm" is stereotype's track to
determine the maximum common divisor of two integers (x and y) which are
greater than one: we follow a series of steps: in step i, we subtract y
from x (being the larger number) and find the remainder, which we call
r1. then we move to step i + 1, where we substract r1 from y, and find
the remainder, which we call r2. if r2=0, we stop and say that r1 is the
greatest common divisor of x and y. if not, we continue, until rn=0.
then rn-1 is the max common division of x and y. this procedure is known
to stop always and the number of subtractions needed is always smaller
than the larger of the two numbers.

crypton is a producer from russia and there he founded a company which
has the aim to support his will to control the world (lol!).
unfortunately he fails all the time reaching this aim. first, the
company tried to develop a computer software to observe the whole
virtual world, but google was quicker with their efforts. after that he
tried to crash the global economy system but the stock markets did it by
themselves. then he tried to create a robot which looks like will smith,
programmed to become president of the united states. well, obama was
more swift. but now crypton has an improved plan which is even more
evil. if you play his track "company" backwards, you will be hypnotized
and do whatever he wants you to do. just try it out (hehe)!

eRRe - "MEAT WITH TOMATOES" [fishrecordings / FISH018]

there are quite a few nice dishes you can make with meat and tomatoes.
one classic recipe for example would be some great pasta sauce bolognese
(the traditional recipe was registered in 1982 by the bolognese
delegation of "accademia italiana della cucina"), and this is how the
simplest interpretation should be done:
just put some good oliv oil into a pan. heat it up and get onions to it.
wait a bit and add some mashed meat. after a few more minutes you
should add fresh garlic, tomatoes and italian herbs and spices. just stir and
simmer it for a little while and you will get a delicious meal.
another great recipe you could make with meat and tomatoes is a pizza:
to be quick, get yourself a ready-made pizza dough at the supermarket
and roll it out and put the mashed tomatoes on the pizza. afterwards add
meat (like ham for example), vegetables (just as liked) and mozzarella
(or other kinds of cheese). put it into the oven and bake it for ten to
fifteen minutes, you will get a marvelous pizza.
and the famous "gyros" (a greek variant) or "kebap" (the turkish,
persian, caucasian, israeli, asian and some of the african variants) is
a good way to eat meat with tomatoes:
it is a dish consisting of meat which you have to marinate with a spicy
sauce consisting of salt, pepper and some herbs. afterwards grill it on
an upward rotisserie grill and serve with tomato, onion, some kind of
garlic sauce and pita bread.

"varva" is the first one. most women in varva, ukraine do not wear bras, so this
type of bra is just no bra (woodstock-style)!
"eins zwei drei" is another one. it is made for girls with one, two,
or even three (english for "eins zwei drei") breasts.
"degenerator" is the type of bra for gammer (http://www.kirche-im-osten.de/varva.jpg).
"damper" is one made for girls with "hydraulics in their g-string" (common
sentence by world famous entertainer elephant man). now they can have
them in their bras, too!

ACID_LAB - "BLOODBATH" [fishrecordings / FISH022]

the song of the nibelungs has a very interesting topic about taking a
bloodbath: after killing a dragon, siegfried of xanten bathed in its
blood which rendered him invulnerable. unfortunately for siegfried, a
leaf from a linden tree fell onto his back. the small patch of skin that
the leaf covered did not come in contact with the dragon's blood,
leaving siegfried vulnerable in that single spot. under the context of a
threat of war, hagen von tronje (siegfrieds archenemy) persuades
kriemhild, siegfried's wife, who still trusts hagen, to mark siegfried's
single vulnerable point on his clothing with a cross under the premise
of protecting him. now knowing siegfried's weakness, the fake campaign
is called off and hagen then uses the cross as a target on a hunting
trip, killing siegfried with a spear as he is drinking from a brook.
so if you plan to take a bloodbath in order to become invulnerable, make
sure to get covered completely.

melamine is an organic base and a trimer of cyanamide. like cyanamide,
it contains 66% nitrogen by mass and, if mixed with resins, has fire
retardant properties due to its release of nitrogen gas when burned or
charred. due to this fact it has several industrial uses.
melamine is also a metabolite of cyromazine, a pesticide. it is formed
in the body of mammals who have ingested cyromazine. melamine combines
with cyanuric acid to form melamine cyanurate which has been implicated
as a contaminant in chinese exported proteins. melamine is described as
being "harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin.
chronic exposure may cause cancer or reproductive damage." however, the
short-term lethal dose is on a par with common table salt with an ld50
of more than 3 grams per kilogram of bodyweight. u.s. food and drug
administration (fda) scientists explained that when melamine and
cyanuric acid are absorbed into the bloodstream, they concentrate and
interact in the urine-filled renal microtubules, then crystallize and
form large numbers of round, yellow crystals, which in turn block and
damage the renal cells that line the tubes, causing the kidneys to
malfunction.

oh my gosh! last friday i had the great plan to have a nice party weekend.
after i left the library i went home and started to have some drinks
with my roommate. round about midnite we headed to our
favourite minimal club to party a little. everything was quite nice, i had
some more drinks and a good time with a nice girl. at about four in the morning
i had a little argument with a stupid guy who tried to flirt with the girl i spent the
whole night with. i went out together with the guy and he really defeated
me in an ugly manner. i lost consciousness and when i woke up it was
bright daylight and i lay right across the pavement. all covered with blood.
my purse and money were gone and i did not know where i was. so, i went
home and thought about the past night. when my roommate saw me he was
shocked and told me that he did not know what happenend to me because
he went to another girl's appartment to have some fun. well, thanks anyway.
we had planned long before to visit a huge rave on that saturday night.
i had no choice and got myself together and again go out to party hard.
you wont believe it, but when we arrived at the location, i met the girl from
the night before. i was very happy and told her what happened but she ignored
me. i did not know why. it made me sad and fucked me up. i started to drink a lot
of liquor and passed out. when i woke up i was completely undressed except for my
shorts and captivated to a bed. i did not know how i got there. the only thing
i wanted to know was how i could escape from there. after several hours, a
girl in a leather costume entered the room in which i was trapped. she told me something
in a language i never had heard before. she opened the handcuffs and pointed at the door.
i did not hesitate and ran out of the room. made my way back home (which was not that easy
because i was in some outer skirt-area of the city). when i arrived
at home, morning had broken. then i realized that the weekend was over and i
had to go to university to attend my economics class instantly. all i thought was: FUCK MONDAY!

please follow these steps if you are in a bad mood:

1. get very drunk or intoxicated. blocking bad thoughts will be easier
if you do this.
2. pump up the volume of your soundsystem to the max.
3. play this track again and again.
4. dance until your feet are sore. this will calm your senses down.
5. after this get some nasty sexual intercourse.

plus there are many other methods of relaxation. the two that would
help you the best in some cases are collecting stamps or housecleaning.

"it was during this campaign that i was christened calamity jane. it was on goose
creek, wyoming where the town of sheridan is now located. captain egan was in
command of the post. we were ordered out to quell an uprising of the indians, and
were out for several days, had numerous skirmishes during which six of the soldiers
were killed and several severely wounded. when on returning to the post we were
ambushed about a mile and a half from our destination. when fired upon captain egan
was shot. i was riding in advance and on hearing the firing turned in my saddle and
saw the captain reeling in his saddle as though about to fall. i turned my horse and
galloped back with all haste to his side and got there in time to catch him as he was
falling. i lifted him onto my horse in front of me and succeeded in getting him safely
to the fort. captain egan on recovering, laughingly said: 'i name you calamity jane,
the heroine of the plains.' i have borne that name up to the present time..."

martha jane cannary burke aka calamity jane died on 1st of august 1903 in the
barren land of terry, near deadwood, south dakota.

he was sent to the most complicated situations only where it usually was not
possible to land with a plane or arrive with any other kind of vehicle. he was a

survive over three weeks without any food and he never experienced problems
with a lack of vitamins (http://media.sonicsquirrel.net/fish_recordings/FISH030/Roomoff_-_Vitamins___FISH030C.mp3) or nutrient. but the biggest problem for his superiors

on his own authority in the field in a very radical way. being on his last mission,
he had to cope with a crucial situation in which he decided to swim through a

poisenous water). the poison attacked his organism real hard and so he lost

furious rage he started to try to stab it but only stabbed himself dozens of
times and died in consequence. while dying he spluttered some last letters

just let them have it and stop complaining about dynamics or phatness o other
technical bullshit no one understands. it is always the same: everybody loves the
track except for the producer and it will never be released but not in this case :-D

after holding down the controls since 1989 westside label head "b-sides"
consistently tours the globe laying down sets in over 40 different countries
worldwide. he still manages to find time to lock himself away in the studio
and keep his creative output consistently flowing. this release is a fine
example and is the first in a series of "b-sides" releases leading up to the
release of his up and coming second solo album due to hit the streets this
winter. we set things off here with the dub inspired "chubba" which moves
neatly with it's percussive groove wrapped with a deep bouncy sub line,
original step and sound clash style stabs to compliment creating a big
dancehall vibe. strictly for the head nodders! on the flip you will find
"one hate" which is aimed purely at the floor. plain and to the point the
beats shuffle nicely why the bass stays minimal punching through the mix.
things get deep midway with oldschool style bleeps and dub style vocals
as the beats roll on. one for the dj’s!
